Actions For Survival

You never know when you might need first aid skills. Knowing what to do when someone is ill or injured can save lives at work, at home and throughout our lives. That's why Aktiv ASPAC decided it was important to provide staff with first aid training.

Miss Luanne Lim, a qualified first aid trainer from the St John's Ambulance Brigade, provided the training on 20th August at the Aktiv ASPAC office. Eleven people attended the three-hour workshop, including some staff from UCG and TGC, and they learned a number of important first aid essentials including monitoring people's vital signs, what to do in a medical emergency, and CPR – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. They also learned how to help people who are choking, have asthma, have a stroke or have fainted.

If you fall ill at work, there are people who know exactly how to help you... and that's really good to know!

Here are some photos of the training.
